A Little Last-Minute Holiday Glamspiration

Alright ladies, it’s crunch time. Sure you’ve tried a few different looks at your earlier holiday parties, but this week and next are the main events that call for the beauty big guns. If you’re still not quite sure what face you want to put forward under the mistletoe or ringing in the New Year, I’ve put together winter’s hottest looks after the jump. Forget about decking the halls my friends, it is time to deck ourselves out!

Kristin_cavallari red lips

Red is a perpetual classic during the holidays or any time of year. Nothing will take you from drab to fab faster than a daring red pucker paired with understated eyes. Beware of becoming a holiday cliché, however, and choose either red lips or a red dress—not both. Not usually a red lipstick kind of gal? Here are some tips on finding the right formula and shade.

Megan Fox

If red is usually your go-to shade, why not try pumping up the sex appeal with one of this season's bold burgundies. For my favourite shade and makeup artist tips on achieving a flawless look click here

Whitney Gold

If there is one time of year when a little extra bling should be embraced, this is it! I love the unexpected hit of gold Whitney’s lower lid liner provides (find out how to get her look here) and also the recent crops of gold glosses that have been popping up on the likes of the ever glamorous, Charlize Theron.

Natalie Portman
Smoky eyes are always a good look, but why not try mixing it up a little with a grey/green version. Not sure about the eyes, but love her lip colour (ummm, how could you not?) click here for a step-by-step guide to getting either look.

Blake Lively

Looking for something a little more demure? Then you can’t beat Blake Lively’s peachy glow. A little blush, a lot of lash and a swipe of pretty gloss and you’re in business.

Camilla Belle
Who could resist the lure of this enchanting ice princess look? Not me, as it will serve as my inspiration come New Year’s Eve. Want to get fabulously frosty? Here’s how.

Let’s discuss: Which holiday do you do your most glam look for? I’m a NYE/Christmas Eve kind of girl myself. Will you be trying to execute any of these ideas this year? Have a better idea of your own? Tell us about it and where you are planning on wearing it. Party on girls.
