Copycat: Camilla Belle

Being called an ice princess is not exactly a compliment, but looking like one is a whole other story. This winter (and especially for the holidays) I’m all about a silvery glimmer on the eyes and a frosty quality to the lips—there’s something a little bit Scandinavian to the whole look. I caught up with Sephora Pro Expert, Nathalie Bechard, to find out how to recreate Camilla Belle’s gorgeous frosted face. Keep this one in mind for New Year’s girls…

Camilla Belle FACE:

-Prep skin with a hydrating serum or primer and a generous amount of eye cream to achieve a smooth and hydrated canvas.

-Apply a sheer foundation starting from the inner part of the face, blending outwards using gentle stippling motions. Try Make Up For Ever face and body foundation for a natural satin finish and incredible staying power.

-Conceal any blemishes, under eyes or areas in need of a bit more coverage, use a natural bristle brush as it blends product easily.

-Brighten the high plains of the face (cheek bones, forehead and brow bones) with a cream or liquid illuminator. Using a small amount of illuminator and a natural crease brush and lightly buff in a circular motion. If you’re in the market for a highlighter Smashbox Artificial Light, Sephora Brand illuminator and Nars multiples are all hot options.

BROWS:

-Frame the brows with a brow powder and an angled brush. Then apply a clear brow gel to smooth and set hairs in place. Anastasia’s brow products are awesome choices.

EYES:

-For this look, think of the eyeshadow as more of an enhancement rather than a complete look.

-Apply a silvery grey toned eye pencil along the upper and lower lash line then add powder eyeshadow on top of the pencil to ensure durability and help pop the silver color even more. Products to try: Sephora Brand retractable eyeliner in Silver02 and shadow in Chrome No. 01. Then blend shadow onto the lid using a blending brush.

-Apply mascara to top lashes after curling with lash curler.

CHEEKS:

-For a glow with a hint of coral, apply Tarte cheek stain in Tipsy to the apples of the cheeks with a flat synthetic brush.

LIPS:

-Apply primer to the lips to ensure smoothness and long wear

-A soft light pink frosted lipstick, like Maniac Long Wearing Lipstick in 16, is the perfect finishing touch to this ice princess esthetic.
