Study Finds Most Men Don't Notice Your High Heels

For those ladies out there who have been teetering around town in your highest heels hoping to catch the eye of a gentleman caller, I have good and bad news to share with you. Happily, you can say goodbye to the blisters and calf cramps you have been dealing with for so long if you feel so inclined. Not so happily, all that suffering was likely in vain as a new study suggests that most males probably don’t even notice what’s going on with your feet.

Are Your Eyeglasses Aging You? A New Study Says Yes!

While the style world may have dubbed glasses the new “it” accessory, it would seem the rest of the world hasn’t quite embraced the spectacles craze just yet. By now we are all well aware that all the little hipster boys and girls have taken to wearing glasses whether or not they technically need them and that trend has indeed started rubbing off on the masses. According to a new study commissioned by the London Vision Clinic, however, there may be some truth to the notion that “boys don’t make passes at girls that wear glasses” since they make us look substantially older than we truly are!

Love It or Loathe It: Katherine Heigl’s Return to Blonde?

The last time we discussed a Katherine Heigl hair moment, things got pretty heated in the comments section. It would seem that Ms. Heigl has a lot of very passionate fans out there that are more than willing to defend her when she makes a style misstep—even when her hair looks more like a helmet than natural fibers! I kid, I kid. After taking a lengthy walk on the dark side of the colour spectrum, Heigl recently decided to return to her blonde roots, so to speak. Check out her new look after the jump.

Eeek Or Chic: Nicole Richie’s Tiered Ball Gown?

Nicole Richie is one of those rare women in Hollywoodland that seems to possess an innate sense of style. For the most part, she knows what works for her and plays up her boho-luxe vibe with effortless grace. There are certain instances, however, when Ms. Richie takes a walk on the wild side when it comes to her wardrobe and it’s rather difficult to determine whether the results are more eeek than chic, or vice versa…

Look What I Bought: My Sartorial Nod To The Return Of The 90s!

In the last little while it had become abundantly clear that the 90s are making a major comeback in terms of style. Whether it is Wall Street Journal articles about Elaine Benes as New York’s new style inspiration or hilarious websites about 90s television characters that would fit in perfectly today, the pop-culture realm is overflowing with love for the New Kids on the Block era at the moment. All this reminiscing really got me longing for one staple of my 90s wardrobe in particular…

Will You Say Sayonara To Your Skinny Jeans?

I am not going to lie to you folks, it took me a long time to jump on the skinny jean bandwagon. Not classifying myself as a particularly “skinny” girl (I’ve got hips and thighs and am proud of it!) I just couldn’t wrap my head around squeezing myself into them for the longest time. Eventually, though, after the silhouette has dominated for long enough I became tempted to give them a try and am happy to admit that I couldn’t have been more wrong about the skinny…

Do Or Don't: Mel B's Double-Textured Hair?

When it comes to hair texture, it’s pretty safe to say that the grass is always greener. Those with curly hair wish they had it straight and those gals with linear locks wish they had the power of the wave. Thanks to all the hair appliance innovations that have come forth in the last few years, it’s now easier than ever to achieve whatever texture your little heart desires—and at record speed. There are a few textural looks, however, that are perhaps better in theory then they are in practice…

Red Alert: Ginger Locks Are Having A Major Moment

It’s no secret that we humans have a tendency to covet things that are rare—diamonds anyone? Seems a little odd then, that for so long the rarest shade in the hair colour spectrum (red) took so much flack. Well the gingers are the ones laughing now as this fiery hue is having a serious fashion moment. See what I’m talking about after the jump.

Who Wore It Best: Rihanna Versus Jennifer Garner

All of Stella McCartney’s duds are celebrity favourites, but her lace inset dresses have pretty much reached cult status over the last couple seasons. Just when you think you’ve seen the sexiest incarnation of this lacy design (I was pretty partial to Kate Bosworth’s exposed back version) another A-list lady emerges in an even saucier look. Last week, both Rihanna and Jennifer Garner stepped out sporting the same McCartney design, but managed to look quite different in it. You decide who wore it best after the jump!

Prim Is In: The New Way To Wear Your Button-Ups

Spring 2011 is still a long ways away, but there are certain looks coming off of the runways at the current New York Fashion Week that I personally can’t wait to catch on (and no, I’m not talking about the gap-toothed casting trend)….
