A Wedding Dress For Drew

20110606_zaf_u99_224Drew Barrymore and fiancé Will Kopelman.

There was a buffet of celebrity news over the weekend from Beyoncé and Jay-Z welcoming their baby girl Blue to Sienna Miller announcing that she has a bundle of joy on the way with boyfriend Tom Sturridge. In all of the gossipy goodness, one piece of news was breezed over by many blogs and that is the engagement of Drew Barrymore. The reformed party girl is settling down with her beau of one year Will Kopelman.

Drew's look has changed drastically over her many years in the spotlight, so which side of her side of her style will show up to walk down the aisle? Here are a few friendly suggestions from the Spring 2012 collections.

This Temperley London dress has a wow factor that's hard to top. Its ornate detailing in breastplate-like embroidery is perfectly suited to a woman with Drew's strong personality. Beyond the main attraction however, this dress is soft and sophisticated. Big impact without any fuss—perfect for the more mature, confident bride.

I have a soft spot for Drew's portrayal of Casey Roberts in 1995's Mad Love and the smile she's been sportin' with Kopelman is reminiscent of that character who was young and crazy in love. Around that time off-screen Drew was often seen with daisies in her hair - it was kind of her thing - so I vote she bring back the floral affection for her big day with this Reem Acra gown. The tribute is subtle with little rosettes forming cap sleeves on an otherwise straightforward gown with a slim bodice and voluminous skirt making Drew's childlike innocence and stellar smile shine bright.

Strictly dealing with body type, I'm all over this gorgeous Badgley Mischka for Drew. She is quite busty and a halter neckline will help to de-emphasize her bustline, drawing the eyes up and better showcasing her shoulders. Furthermore, with her short frame measuring in at just 5'4" tall, Drew would get lost in princessy pouf. Something tight across the hips with a mermaid flair is much better to show off her tiny curvy shape.

Have your say! What type of wedding dress do you think is best suited to Drew?
