The Duchess Was Immortalized In French Connection

Katemiddleton_portrait
Talk about great PR: we have now learned that the blouse Kate Middleton is wearing in her official portrait is a silk blouse from French Connection. To have the style icon of our times immortalized in your brand is just about the biggest coup any company could ask for. Move over Issa engagement dress!

It would be a real challenge to choose an item of clothing that would stand as your "look" for eternity, wouldn't it? Certainly anything on-trend seems out of the question, although perhaps it would stand as a sign of the times, much in the way that we look to paintings and photos from the past to dissect the history of costume. Then there is a more classic approach, but often classic is just another word for safe, and who wants to stand the test of time with caution?

Personally, I like the Duchess' blouse of choice. You certainly can't see much of it, but the emerald colour and tie-top neckline are timeless. If I were to be immortalized in ink, I certainly would have the word "timeless" in mind, not to mention sophisticated, smart, and maybe just a touch of sexy.

Have your say! How would you choose to be immortalized?
