A Style Message From Taylor Swift

Wenn20151028
Taylor Swift has been wearing white on every red carpet since December of last year, and when you're Taylor Swift, that's a lot of white. Until Wednesday night. Until she stepped out at the Brit Awards in a black gown with two sheer panels running all the way up the legs to the hips. The descriptor "sexy" being an understatement.

When I first spotted pics of Taylor in the drapey Elie Saab gown, I heard her message loud and clear: "stop calling me cute"; because that is the way we think of Taylor, no fault of our own. She is the one who has been wearing virginal white, not to mention cutesy ponytails, polka-dot cardigans, and preppy oxfords. Taylor uses fashion to convey messages; it was clear when she traipsed around Camelot in Kennedy-approved nautical stripes, and it was clear last night when she showed up on recent ex-BF Harry Styles' British stomping grounds all dressed in black.

The trade for sweet white to sultry black was much more literal in Taylor's on-stage performance where she stripped off a lace bridal-looking gown to reveal an embellished black body suit underneath, complete with a sheer bodice attached to her signature high-waisted short shorts. Fire, hair flicks, and air guitars served as accessories, not to mention more booty shaking than we've ever seen from the Nashville sweetheart. And now pics are circulating of Taylor's late night at the Universal Music after party DJing and dancing up a storm in a tight black long-sleeve mini.

You can hate her for it, or you can applaud her. Either way, know this: Taylor Swift is sexy now. Message received.

Have your say! Do you think Taylor is trying to tell us something in her all-black attire?
