Dear UGGs, I Love You.

Confession: UGG boots are my guilty pleasure. Many of my friends, coworkers, and probably several people on the street cringe when I wear them, but to be honest, I don't really care.

Sure, they look bulky, and lots of people think the name is short for ugly, but there's a reason why they've been selling like crazy for years (I bought my first pair eight years ago!) -- they feel heavenly and actually do keep your feet warm.

Now, I know what you're thinking. There are a ton of better looking winter boots out there that will prevent your feet from getting frostbite. But, in my experience, UGGs are the only boots where my toes are actually toasty (I can even get away without socks!). Plus, you cannot deny how comfortable UGGs are, and how easy they are to slip on when you're in a rush to run errands (take it from a girl who's tried wearing heels in the snow).

And I'm not the only person who's openly loving my UGG boots. Vogue's editors recently confessed their love affair for the sheepskin boots, proclaiming the boots their footwear of choice during the winter months.

“Once you put an UGG on, it’s hard to go back to bespoke shoes,” says Vogue contributing editor Andre Leon Talley. “They are the best practical shoe—not only because they can handle the slush on sidewalks and curbs while keeping your feet warm, but they’re also easy to accessorize."

Even Vogue's creative director, Grace Coddington (who has been deemed the world's greatest living stylist) says the boots are "a pretty good invention."

And with celebs and style icons like Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss and Anna Sophia Robb still proudly rocking their UGG boots, it's pretty clear to see that these boots aren't going anywhere soon. Sorry, haters!

Have your say! Do you love or hate UGGs?
