How To Score Red Carpet-Worthy Skin
The Toronto International Film Festival officially wrapped this weekend and, in its honour, we talked to Lori Taylor, Global Pro Lead of Smashbox Cosmetics, to uncover just how celebs managed to keep their complexions looking flawless under the flashbulbs.
Liquid Halo could be our best liquid foundation formula ever, she says. "It's like an Instagram filter for your skin!"
"Your classic pigments lay on top of one another to make coverage, but these pigments are encapsulated in a gel so that allows them to create a smoother surface and work with your skin," Lori explains. "Because it works with those undertones, we only needed to create ten shades, and really you're only likely one of three shades because it will always work with your undertones. It will always look like skin."
The other benefit to the gel formulation is that it will smooth over fine lines and wrinkles, so it's a great options for more mature skin.
If you're looking for a lighter finish, try pairing a primer and concealer with a powder that contains very little silicone, so there's no flashback (ie. shine) or you could try an HD BB Cream for a more natural finish.
Have your say! Whose beauty look did you love most at TIFF?
