Get The Look: Jennifer Lawrence's Minimal Makeup
Last week, Jennifer Lawrence made a bold move and showed that less is really more by going bare-faced to the premiere of The Great Gatsby in New York.
The minimal to no-makeup look is a change for Lawrence, who usually opts for smokey eyes and pink lips when hitting the red carpet. But at only 22 years old, why shouldn't Lawrence show off her youthful and flawless complexion?
I spoke to makeup artist Allana Mizra on how to get the look and let your natural beauty shine:

Beauty Look We Love: Comrags Fall 2013
Last Thursday, we headed backstage at Andrew Richard Designs to check out Comrags' Fall 2013 collection at The shOws.
Though beauty on the runway can often be a little bit too crazy for everday, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the Comrags beauty look was something that could be worn in real-life and easily recreated at home.
"At a lot of shows, the makeup doesn't look too wearable," said Greg Wencel, celebrity makeup artist and CoverGirl makeup pro who created the look. "When we met with [Comrags designers] Judish Corish and Joyce Gunhouse, they wanted to make sure that it was something that made a statement, but something that someone wouldn't be afraid to actually try."
Wencel's inspiration? A youthful, look reminiscent of a Parisian girl or models backstage sipping wine.
"The Comrags girl has something healthy and organic about her. It's a polished look, that's super pretty and very wearable," he explained.
Wencel gave us a rundown on how to recreate the look at home, using CoverGirl cosmetics:

The Perfect Retro Cat Eye In 3 Easy Steps
While beauty trends come and go, there is one classic look that wins big every time: the retro cat eye. Whether paired with red, pink, or nude lips, the cat eye is a graphic statement that opens the eye with a flirty flip.
STEP 1: Place the liquid liner brush at the furthest tip of the eye. Draw a diagonal tick on an upward angle, towards the outside end of the eyebrow.

The Only Eye Shadow Palette You Need This Fall
Makeup is in the process of undergoing a major shift. From bright washes of popping colour and bold lips over the past few seasons, this fall - and moving into next spring - the application and palette is much more subdued.
For the most part, we're seeing a "no makeup" makeup look with sheer, luminous skin as the main attraction. Lips, too, are looking rather nude, although red continues to tread lightly, while eyes are experiencing hits of graphic liner, but mostly a light dusting of tawny browns.

Female Athletes Embrace Makeup
Serena Williams took the Wimbledon women's title with seriously made-up eyes this weekend.
Female athletes - tennis players in particular - are learning to embrace their girly sides on the courts. According to ESPN, the number of players wearing makeup at play has greatly increased over the years, currently reaching an all-time high.
The fashion loving-Williams sisters likely have a lot to do with this new trend and their opponent Maria Sharapova took occasion to give them (well, Serena in particular) a little dig while speaking to the Sports channel. They reported a smirk on her face while she stated,"I don't wear makeup on court." But Serena isn't the only dark-eyed player out there—Jelena Jankovic, Tamira Laszek, and Sabine Lisicki have also been spotted wearing eyeliner and mascara.

How To Wear Tangerine Makeup
Grace suggests Maybelline Color Sensational in Coral Crush for lips and Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow for a tangerine eye.
What better way to celebrate Tangerine Tango, Pantone's colour of the year, than by incorporating the rich citrus shade into your beauty regime? This bright tint of orange will help to liven up your summer look, adding a luscious finish to lips, cheeks and even eyes. But can everyone pull off this unorthodox shade? I turned to Grace Lee, Maybelline's Lead Makeup Artist, Canada, for the answer:

Beauty Tip: How To Look Well Rested In An Instant
There's a clever little makeup trick that many artists use and I was kindly reminded of it on set yesterday. It's a two second process that immediately adds two hours of sleep to tired eyes. The secret? Nude eyeliner.

3 Must-Have Beauty Looks Inspired By The Ladies Of Mad Men
Film and television have an undeniable influence on style, with fewer shows more influential than Mad Men. While the Don Draper effect has fully overwhelmed the men's market, we can also thank the ladies of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce for our renewed admiration of retro glam, especially when it comes to beauty.
Now that the show is back on the air, after a long 17 month hiatus, let's celebrate the leading ladies with a few tips on how to get their beauty look:

All stores should be size friendly not just A&F... there is no reason that someone who is plus size should have to shop at a plus size store and pay double what everyone else pays and have clothes that are not as "in" or "attractive" as the rest. It used to be sexy to have curves and not be a walking bone bag... what happened to that? Since when is it "hot" to have no curves, no shape to your body and no personality? I think women who have curves, a little meat on their bones (or a lot) are just as sexy as everyone else. It's all how you carry yourself and how you feel inside and how you want others to see you. Confidence goes a long way!!!

The issue is only a small part about the size of consumers. We have many plus size stores, tall stores, all type of stores who cater to different body styles, and that is great. What he said is basically if you are not a size 10 and below is that you are not or never could be "cool", Really? I know cool people from a size 2 to a size 22, and who gives a crap. I believe he thinks only small people are worthy. Well he just bent over and shot himself in hos very cool butt
